It’s a familiar story; a busy morning on the farm, you’ve popped home for lunch and leave the keys in the tractor to save taking them out.
But half an hour later, you return to carry on working, only to find the tractor is no longer there – stolen – and void of insurance having breached the conditions of the policy.
The above may seem like an extreme example, but it’s one we see all too often. Whilst it seems ‘easier’ to leave the keys in unattended vehicles, when it comes to a claim in the tens of thousands of pounds potentially being turned down, hindsight demonstrates just how easy it really is to take the keys with you. This applies to all key operated vehicles, from your car to your quad bike.
Don’t risk being uninsured, it’s not as time consuming as you might think.
